Pain at the pump- Limiting college visits

With gas prices reaching record highs, preliminary statistics show that American families with children on the cusp of high school graduation are limiting the number of schools they are visiting during summer break.  As a college marketing firm, Campus Solutions, Inc. is providing college marketing opportunities for corporations and college recruitment opportunities for college administrations:

  • YouTube Videos: YouTube continues to be the most popular video sharing site in the country, especially among college students.  Campus Solutions provides a number of unique branding opportunities for companies during the first 15 seconds of the video.  During the summer and throughout the 2008-2009 school year, Campus Solutions will be working with colleges and universities to record professional YouTube videos for college recruitment.  These videos will essentially give parents and students an overview of the school, highlighting a particular campus and essentially providing a video account of what they would receive during a college visit.
  • Gas Cards: A regional campaign will be developed targeting students entering their senior year in high school.  Each student may receive a gas card in increments of either $25 or $50 once they reserve a date to visit campus.
  • Hotel, Restaurants and Car Rentals: Opportunities are available for restaurants and hotel chains as well as national car rental agencies interested in developing a youth marketing promotion which provides discounts to families making college visits over the summer.
